Mercedes-Benz Cars
As a company, Daimler AG has many goals. One of our most important goals is environmental sustainability. Mercedes-Benz Cars aims to integrate long-term solutions into the company's daily operations.
Globally, Daimler AG is constantly refining the environmental performance of current vehicles, working on alternative power trains, using new and more eco-friendly production processes and promoting the development of alternative fuels. This is across the entire brand portfolio: Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Maybach, Freightliner, Fuso and Sterling.
In Australia, Mercedes-Benz Cars' (Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Maybach) commitment to sustainability and the local environment includes a key local initiative - a carbon offset program called Carbon Zero, developed and delivered in partnership with Climate Positive.

Building biodiversity in Victoria
Mercedes-Benz Cars has contributed to the revegetation of carefully selected sites at both the Perry River, East Gippsland and the Strezlecki Ranges. These revegetated ecosystems act as carbon sinks, as well as wildlife habitat corridors.
