Haystac is Australia's leading public relations consultancy. We have a staff of young professionals with an active interest in the environment.
What have you done to reduce your CO2 emissions?
We have measured the emissions that are produced through our business with an energy auditor recommended by Climate Positive. Following the measurement process, we met as a group to identify methods for reducing our carbon emissions and then to offset those which we could not prevent.
How has your organisation worked together to reduce carbon emissions?
Our staff are the driving success behind our energy reduction program. Initiatives for carbon footprint reduction (generated from within our team) have included:
- converting to 100% green energy
- audits of all electrical equipment to ensure high standards of energy efficiency
- introduction of a 'no print' policy where possible and double-sided printing for all work
- teleconference facilities as a preference to interstate travel
- recycling programs for printer/toner cartridges, paper and all recyclables in the office
