Climate Positive announces DGR status

Climate Positive is proud to announce receipt of tax deductibility status (DGR) as of 19 September, via entry onto the Register of Environmental Organisations.

We believe this makes Climate Positive the only organisation offering tax deductible accredited carbon offsets in Australia.

The newly gained DGR status also enables businesses to partner with employees for a high-quality carbon offsetting program through workplace giving and customers for tax deductible carbon offset programs.

Accreditation is the key to be assured of project outcomes and we believe that a focus on renewable energy will accelerate restructure of the economy to a safer low carbon future," Climate Positive Managing Director Brendan Condon said.

As our name suggests, Climate Positive works with businesses and individuals to go beyond being carbon neutral. First, we work to educate our partners about global warming and how to reduce emissions. Secondly we invest in accredited offset projects with a focus on infrastructure and renewable energy to allow our partners to become carbon neutral. Thirdly we replant ecologically diverse permanently protected high carbon yield forests on cleared land, to take our clients into ‘climate positive' territory.
